Hamptons fundraising for Cancer Research UK

October 13, 2016 Property News 0

It’s great to see national and local companies pull together to fundraise for worthy causes and even better when fun is had by all. This was certainly the case when Hamptons International recently organised a pub quiz at the Kings Head in Hursley and raised £1,366.87 for Cancer Research UK.

This sum was partly raised by an auction held within Hamptons and a raffle which was open externally, with prizes donated by a host of local companies including restaurants, hairdressers, independent shops and boutiques, interior designers, vineyards, a cookery school and leisure venues.

The evening was a lively event with five teams representing Hamptons International offices across the region enjoying a friendly rivalry.  Staff from offices across the region including Winchester, Salisbury, Canford Cliffs, Farnham, Haslemere, Liphook, Fleet and Alton took part.

Carley Bassett, Administrator in Winchester, a key organiser for the event, was delighted with the response to the initiative and said: “Special thanks must go to all the local companies who willingly donated a whole range of gifts, products and experiences to appeal to all. Massive thanks also to the Kings Head at Hursley who did a fantastic job at hosting this latest event.

“Our total charity fundraising this year as a region is £4,644.87 which represents a sterling effort by all concerned.”…

Gold award

October 7, 2016 Property News 0

Dybles has been rewarded for the team’s hard work and dedication by being crowned ‘Best Estate Agent’ in Winchester by the British Property Awards. As an independent, local and relatively new estate agent, Michael Dyble says it means everything to the team that they have been recognised and awarded this title.

The British Property Awards were created by a dedicated team of former estate agents who believed that some consumers unfairly judged the industry, due to a few estate agents falling short of expectations. They also felt that estate agents who provide a fantastic service and go that extra mile for their clients should be rewarded and highlighted for their endeavours.

The team from the British Property Awards assess estate agents against a set of 25 criteria, tailored within a given town. They believe that the awards should be judged on a local level to provide members of the public with an overview of their local market. They assess those who meet the criteria over several months to ensure continuity and stability before judging which agency has performed outstandingly. Because they do not merely rely on customer reviews of successful sales and use an independent team their award is very comprehensive in the sector and makes winning a Gold medal even more impressive.

Michael says: “There is a benefit for both the business and consumer with this award. As an estate agent our fantastic service and hard work has been rewarded and for consumers it helps property owners with the monumental task of deciding which agent to work with in Winchester.”
