Connells in Shirley Smash It !

New Year, New Start and Connells Lettings team at Shirley Road are going from strength to strength and really excited about pushing the business forward in 2016.

“2015 was a great year for us with a record number of lets and also on a personal level as individuals” said Andrew Evans Branch Manager.

The Shirley Lettings Office was opened as a “Cold Start” office in April 2014 and employed a young lady by the name of Bethany Hudson on a trainee basis to learn about the business as she was keen to embark on a career within the Letting industry.

Her career has flourished and has won two promotions, in 2015 to became a fully fledged Negotiator and at the start of this year received a second promotion to Senior Negotiator.

Her reward and a thank you for her efforts, Bethany has won a very coveted award within Connells Group as “Lettings Negotiator of the Year” beating over 200 other negotiators to the title throughout the group and winning a 5 star all expenses trip to Dubai.

This has rocketed the branch to be extremely successful during 2015 and saw them finish top Cold Start branch throughout the country. 

With business booming, the branch doing so well and the Lettings market predicted to continue strongly in 2016, they have brought on board an additional member of staff, Louise White, who has a wealth of experience on the administration side of the business having previously worked for the centralised administration centre based in Leighton Buzzard for 18 months. 

Andrew went on to say “thanks to all the landlords that have helped us achieve the levels of business we did last year by allowing us the opportunity to let their properties and find them suitable tenants and we look forward to working with them and achieving another record year ahead”.…

Student homes launched

Goadsby Lettings in Winchester has launched its student list for summer 2016 move-ins. This year Goadsby’s Lettings list was activated towards the end of November due to the demand of students looking a lot earlier this year. Many students were left disappointed towards the end of last year due to having a lack of properties available on the private market.

Kim Bone, Assistant Manager, commented that: “This year the students have been securing the best properties as early as possible to avoid disappointment later in the year. As ever the students looking for the larger houses are the first to start looking as these types of properties tend to be the most popular and let first.”
